This thread is to serve as an inspiration to others modifying their ZJ's. Pretty simple, just post what you did to your ZJ today!

Today I shamefully took my Jeep to get the oil changed because it was to hot to change it myself.

Back Flushed My Heater Core

So tonight I finished up flushing my heater core with CLR. Let me tell you, my heat is sooooo damn hot now that it will cook you out of the Jeep :2thumbsup::laugh::cool::D

I followed this picture to get the coolant flow. I used the INLET as OUTLET, then I used the OUTLET as the INLET and back flushed the system using CLR. I first got all the coolant out using an air compressor and about 125 psi, after I purged all the coolant out, I then proceeded to fill the heater core going through the outlet with CLR. I poured all the CLR in till it came out the inlet side. I let the CLR sit for 1 hr.

After the 1 hr elapsed, I purged the CLR out till all I got was air, them proceeded to fille the heater core with water and purge with air, I did that about 5 times. It was taking to long so I decided to get the water hose and purge out the heater core till the water ran clear, then again I purged it air till no more water came out.

Then I re-attached everything and proceeded to fill up the coolant lik you normally would do.

I noticed after shutting the Jeep off that I had air bubbles coming through the overflow tank which made me beleive that I had not got all of the air out of the system even parking on a little angle. So by this time it was cold out and I said forget it. I drove back home bc I was doing the work at mt g/f's dads house. So when I got home, I checked the level in the over flow tank and it was pretty dry. So I opend the radaitor cap back up, opened the overflow tank back up and I poured more coolant into the over flow tank to the FILL mark and proceeded to fill my radiator back up. The radiator burped a couple time and I added coolant as necessary. So I'm pretty sure I got the majority of the air out. I will drive it the next couple of days and check the overflow tank and radiator

I used this youtube and this process couldn't have been any easeier!

Day 2 of driving my Jeep on E85. I'm kind of surprised that just putting larger injectors was enough but the thing runs exactly as it did before! I've put about 50 miles on it so far and while I think the fuel trims are still adapting I see no signs of running rich and I'm pretty confident it can't be lean with 30lb injectors haha. E85 is $3 or less a gallon around here VS 3.36-3.58 depending on the week for 89 octane. We'll see how my gas mileage is effected after a couple tanks of fuel and the computer has adjusted properly. Hopefully the price ends up compensating, if not it was fun to try it out at least.

Fitted Prothane polybushes to my front trackbar and upper control arms - the lower arms will be done later. The front anti-roll bar (sway bar) was already done.

New front brake discs and pads will be fitted tonight after work.

I just got back home from doing some donuts and drifting in some unplowed parking lots with a few buddies. My friend's SRT-8 WK performed incredibly with summer tires. I had a blast. We had a camera guy there too so hopefully I'll be able to get some good pics up sometime tomorrow or Monday.

Received some Morpar parts the other day but my jeep was in the shop haveing rock sliders made.
Today I'm installing these turn signal lights, also went down to the auto glass shop to see if my Morpar windshield glass had arrived yet so I can get rid of my cheap Chinese one.

On the left is a cheap Chinese turn signal light from eBay, the bulb socket is wrong for a Niner. Morpar one on right.

Close-up, not hard to tell which one is Morpar.

The one from eBay still has the plastic over it.

Checked the oil, topped off the coolant, cleaned my k&n filter and drove her 30 miles to watch today's game with family. Nice drive, she doesn't get out much but I'm driving her to Santa cruz tomorrow for a few day get a way with the lady. Wanted to make sure all is well. Just need to add tranny fluid and all is well. Err also noticed my upper radiator hose is starting to bubble, need to fix that before tomorrow.

Made a vid of mine drifting, turned out awesome!
@2:46, OH SH*T!

On topic... Some pics of me doing the same stuff, no trailers in the way though...

Hopefully I'll have some more. That was just a couple pics of me off one of the 3 cameras we used last night.

Here's some of my buddy's SRT-8. Like I said before, it handled incredibly well on summer tires in that snow.
