I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.
The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.
So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!
Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?
If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!
Hmmm, maybe I need to start taking my jeep to those events to weasel myself in good with him and get him to sign off on my toyota! LOL
And... YSB... Do you or the woman work? Seems like you're both out in the mines or the jeep every day! I'm a bit jealous.
Last, anyone know anyplace close on the east side of town possibly boulder/nellis ish area that would have legal dirt to drive in? Preferrably something with whoops, not rocks that I can do some testing in with my toyota for shock valving? Best I've found that is close to my area is out at the end of Hollywood right along the wetlands. If I run off the main line there's a burned in trail right along the land closure signs on the opposite side of that strip from the wetlands side that's decent but still isn't what I'm looking for. Closest place I know of with decent sized whoops that's open is out south of boulder city. Anyone know anything different? I dread whoops in my jeep but they're fun in my truck and they're the best way to do shock testing when making valving changes! I'm going to run my in car camera when I go back out to the end of hollywood probably this weekend or one afternoon next week so I'll show you guys what I'm talking about out there...
Anyone know of a good machine shop for my 5.2. The shop my family has gone to since the early 70's is no more. And I know this will seem hateful but I'm not taking it to a place where I need a translator to get what I need done.
I've had good luck with Fultz's Machine shop. I didnt have much done there, but they were very helpful, and got it done quickly and painlessly. I've heard many people reccomend them as well.
I'm still around. Sold the TJ and got an 11 JKU Rubicon. I haven't done anything to it. I'm not really sure what I want to do to it, really... I'm up for a snow run sometime soon (can't this weekend).

I check the forums once every couple of weeks. I haven't been up to much lately. Getting ready to go back to school since I'm out of the Air Force now (slipped disks in back). What have you been up to? I see you still have the beast and I've been following your build (Maintenance) thread.
Oh, also went up to the Rubicon Trail. I led a group of friends through 5 miles of it. We camped out, turned around, and went back. I didn't take my JK through it. I'm glad I didn't. My old TJ would've been perfect for it though.

Yeah, still have the beast, it seems to be running fine now, it was down for a while after my trip to Ely, simply because I didn't feel like working on it. Had it out shooting a couple times lately and all seems well. Hopefully i'll have it back out on the trails whenever the next run comes up and I'm free.
Other than that, just been going through and trying to get little things back up to par. Next big project is the fuel tank and venting system, as well as an electric fuel pump.
I would like to do a trip to either nor cal or Colorado during the spring. I know that I would have to spend a butt load of cash to get mine through the rubicon though
Got the tranny fixed. No worries of it getting anyone pregnant now.
But seriously folks. Got the gov pressure sensor and solenoid in there. It was a greasy, messy, thankless job but it's shifting great now. Ready go on an adventure.

Our main bread and butter though is Classic Mustang reproduction parts. We're the biggest supplier of repop parts for old mustangs in the nation. LOL bet most of you didn't know that was going on here in Henderson!
Thanks spaceball and marn I'll give them a call after the holidays. I'm headed to Florida in the morning and won't get back until right before Christmas. Can't wait to get this ***** going

The rat king lives at the "yellow M"
Restaurant! Here's the proof. Fixed a strawberry syrup leak in dining room, and while I was working, he did this in the kitchen. Wait a minute, maybe it was Ysb, he's not making threats anymore!!!
The hollow threats have graduated into actual sabotage! You've been reported! Everyone here knows about your threats! people take stuff too seriously in today's world, sad no sense of humor anymore.
Not to late I'm at the airport. My wife is from Hawaii so we go about twice a year so it's never really a vacation.
