I read thru the EFI sticky, could not find what I need.
I have a junkyard tbi upgrade, but with a affordable fi wiring kit and chip tuned to my upgrades.258,272? cam dual exhaust and bored 60 over..all clifford parts.
The jeep ran fine for 2 years, now when its warmed up it dies and the injectors flood the tbi after the motor stops.I have replaced the ecm and checked wiring.Any suggestions?
No on the controlled spark, just fuel.Stock dist with the tfi upgrade using a msd6al.Whenever it dies the injectors continue to pump as if in crank mode, dumping more fuel than while running.
May be the MSD 6.
You could try to unplug the coolant temp sensor it may let it run in open loop and you could see if it dies when warmed up.
I don't know how to test the MSD, but I'm sure that someone on here can chime in with that.
Well its not the coolant temp sensor,I put a new one in.Same thing. Are the injectors sopposed to continue firing after the motor dies? The fuel pump continues to run also.
I didn't say it was the temp sensor.
I said unplug it to see if it would still run in open loop when warmed up.
If will run in open loop it may be something in the TBI.
If it will not it may be in the ignition or someting else.
Did it still allow you to crank and run it for 10mins?I hope it turns out to be that simple! While at work I was reading up on it and that explains why it thinks its still running.I have yet to put together a cable to record data.
