I don't know what to do. IDK if I should get that d.s. for 45 or not. =/

#1,737 ·
I have the fixed yoke and rzeppa at the t-case. I think it will already pair up with the axle. I was going to buy a u-joint yoke for the 242 that will supposedly meet up to the double cardon end

#1,739 ·
I just hope that d.s. will work if I order it. I am like not sure if it is worth it yet... but its 65 compared to 600 custom shaft.

that sucks about your WJ!

#1,743 ·
That is always an options.

the WJ stock driveshaft extends?...you cant have a DS with out any type of slip yoke ...cause the axle moves up and down all the time while driving...if it was fixed the shaft would just be pounding into your T case
Yea there has to be somewhere!

Hardcore poundage Fo shizzle
This made me fall out of my chair and freaking rolling on the floor laughing!

Ha ha ha, everyday use.....

What Are you using at saturdays and sundays, christmas and labour day?

#1,755 ·
Around town where there is not that much dust

#1,756 ·
Have been using a K&N drop in myself the last 2 years, i am abit concerned That it let to much thrue, also If i hold it up against light i can see thrue.have cleaned My TB, it was dirty but i Think no one ever did it before me, Will check the TB again soon.

Many people have the same results as you are having.... I am considering a change. Probably to an amsoil filter.

Me to, i know it filtrates better, do ypu know How much air it lets thrue compered to K&N?

#1,760 ·
No, no tech specs like that. I am sure that google knows. hahaha.

I am trying to find some new desk speakers with some BASE! I have the Altec Lansing VS4121 with like 15 watts bass and 3 watts per satellite. The set I am looking at is a Logitech z623 with 130 watts of bass and 35 watts per satellite speaker... I think that is going to make a difference!

#1,761 ·
I JUST posted on his thread and saw that. I think I am going to get a K&N cold air with an amsoil filter!

#1,763 ·
That's the best filterage. Go with an amsoil dry ok the k&n. I took moonys and splitnails advice and its so much better thank sucking in that filter oil
LOL what? ^^^

Yeaaa that oil is supposed to like 'dry' but who knows... Going to amsoil with my cold air! Does it NEED that blue sleeve?

#1,765 ·
Ohhh that is probably good for when you slam through water puddles!

#1,769 ·
when you put in your front .75 spacers what way does that angled indent go? ...pointing towards the body ..or pointing towards the isolator?

#1,770 ·
JerzeyBoyWJ said:
do those prefilters effect the suction of a CAI at all?
Not sure man. Worth a try though for wheeling in water

Sorry for delayed response...

I put them on so the top of the spacer sat flush on the body. It would work the other way... I think it was the bigger opening at the top

#1,772 ·
JerzeyBoyWJ said:
ok thanks for the info on the spacers...and i think im gunna get one of those prefilters ...
Yea no problem man! I like the change of people asking me questions over me asking everyone else questions!

If I had a cai and knowing me and the stupid crap id do... for example hitting all the puddles and driving through lots of water... id get it.

When you drive through deep water and it hits the mechanical fan, it splashes everywhere in the engine bay

#1,783 ·
the filter cover or pre filter are only good for mist and drop of water not for going threw a puddle or lakes, its like water resistant . mainly its for keeping things form getting stuck int he groves liek bugs and dirt. http://www.knfilters.com/search/wrap.aspx

tell me about the fan getting everything everywhere. i went wheeling when i rain and mos of the road turned to mud my engine bay was covered all over in mud still cleaning iut up lol.

you should get one of these:

I stole that from moony's thread. all copyrights to moony thread inc.
I can not see the point of CAI when they draw in hot air from engine compartment and not fresh air from the grill as the stock setup Does. Also it aint Any advantage to have a smaller plenum, the stock setup has a larger plenum with the resonator box. I belive That is better!

#1,774 ·
i made my own heat shield and intake...and it bumped up my MPGs alot... and i always check the air filter and its alway cold ill snap some pictures of my setup later

There is a heat sheild that blocks a lot of the heat so it sucks it up from the bottom. Supposedly

Less restriction. More air and easier.

Sounds louder too :)

^^^X2 i Really want to see, What do you guys Think about plenum size of the intake theory, i know people have tried it out at BMW's before and Dyno shows That stock can be better over CAI due to larger plenum....
