This thread is to serve as an inspiration to others modifying their ZJ's. Pretty simple, just post what you did to your ZJ today!

Today I shamefully took my Jeep to get the oil changed because it was to hot to change it myself.

you think i will have trouble with the dw? everything seems nice and tight in the front end.
Wont know till you lift it, but any problems you have, regardless of you being aware of them or not, will be magnified 10X by altering the geometry of the suspension and steering.
Not trying to scare you, just be prepared to drop more time and money into it to make it right.

When I did my BB last winter it showed me how bad my control arm bushings really were. They're still pretty bad now... I'm starting to get a little DW from them. I've got new control arms with bushings already pressed in, but I just don't have the tools or know how to properly and safely swap them out. I've been waiting on my buddy that's ASE certified to free up to help me out. He's pretty busy seeing he's the service manager of a service center for a Cadillac dealer.

1 arm at a time. You can even do it on the ground. Not a bad job.

do one arm at a time with the vehicle on the ground, only non-standard tool would be a torque wrench for reinstalling the 2 bolts per arm:thumbsup:you can do it!

Filled her up in prep for Irene . Didn't know she was that low!
Ouch! Soon as I get the tranny fixed next week, I'm putting a full tank in her...it'll be the first one she's ever had (that I've paid for) she's usually at the 1/8th mark or below. LOL. Be safe during Irene if it comes your way! But be sure to go wheeling after :D

Put a new distributor in. The reluctor ring under the cam position sensor broke and was causing a misfire/stumble. The stupid ring was not available. So, a whole new distributor went in. Runs perfect again. : )

How the hell did you manage to put 24.2 Gallons in that thing? We only have 23.5Gallon tanks:confused::confused:

Hmm... I do have a 3 day weekend coming up. How hard is it to press the new bushings into the axles for the upper control arms? The uppers are incredibly bad on the axle side. Also, anyone have the torque specs for the bolts?

Haha. I've always been able to pit 24 in mine. Maybe my plastic tank has expanded? The tank straps do look like a bikini on a fat chick
