This thread is to serve as an inspiration to others modifying their ZJ's. Pretty simple, just post what you did to your ZJ today!

Today I shamefully took my Jeep to get the oil changed because it was to hot to change it myself.

I've done a buncha stuff! but TODAY I changed the oil to a 50/50 blend of Kendalls High Mileage Syn Blend 10w40 and Kendalls Full Syn 10w30... So I guess it's like a 75/25 blend now? lol

Changed oil after seafoaming it... there was some gunk in their for sure.

Tried to find a solution to mounting the transfer case skid where it bolts to the frame. Failed.

Went to the junkyard only to find out they aren't open on Saturday's during winter. It's not winter anymore... wtf.
Went to a second junkyard that lists them being open on Saturday. They were closed too. It was 88 degrees outside and nice... wtf!!!

To mount that skid plate in the frame rail, you're going to need a nutsert. The one you need is for an M10x1.5 for a 13.5mm hole. You'll have to get one that you can hammer in. I've got a couple left from mine. PM me your address and I'll see if I can get one in the mail to you if you want to cover like the $1 shipping or whatever it'd be.

Used it to pull out my friend in a 2007 Dodge Ram. He decided to see what his stock wheels and tires could do. It performed pretty impressively till he reached a mud pit that went halfway up his doors. When I first took a look at it, I actually thought my ZJ didn't stand a chance of getting it out, but it sure did. Put on a new set of battery terminals and cleaned up the posts, hopefully that'll stop the darned security system that decides to act up because the terminals were loose.

Also decided I really need to address the steering. I'm debating on some sort of OTK setup, but I really need the "money fairy" to come and visit my house.

This weekend, I:

Installed a new starter- cranks up something fierce now!! Also, I replaced the parking brake shoes, and adjusted the star nuts so the parking brake holds in drive and reverse, even with gas. Now I can go pass my state inspection.

Also, while I was fiddling with the brakes, my son painted the antenna, antenna mount, and the wheel hubs flat black. lol they were rust-colored.

so the zj needs a rear end..is it worth picking up a 44a? how much stronger are they? if i do end up keeping the zj, im thinking i might put in the 3.5" lift i have and run 32s. has 3.55s now so ill try to find a rear end with 3.73s and then an xj HP30 with 3.73s.
