Fixed my driveshaft cv on Friday night.

Pretty easy, although messy! Took me a couple of hours.

I have honestly never been out there. Is that entrance over on the Granite Bay side of things. I usually enter in El Dorado Hills or Folsom and have never entered past Beals Point.
I take Douglas all the way down until it crosses over Folsom-Auburn and just keep on driving... it turns into a state park and theres a bunch of places you can use the jeep ;) Only down side is that there's a fee to go into the state park.

If you google earth it, you can get a good picture of all of the places you can go..... that's how I first found out about it.

I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll see some other Dubs when I'm out there

Got the rest of the Zone lift on. It rides a lot better than I thought it would, and looks pretty good too. Now I need to get the 265/75-16 tires and wheel spacers on.
Looks great, dont forget to get an allignment soon! If youre getting new tires right away theyll do it then.

Today I took my WJ out for a drive, I was driving like a total jerk with the gear selector  I had it in 2nd on this long straight road and I kept hitting it up to 45 (the speed limit was 40 oooh Im so dangerous :rtft:) then coasting down I was getting so many weird looks. As long as I'm easing onto the throttle gently I shouldnt be doing harm to the torque converter right?

Well it does have something to deal with my Jeep. One of the guys in my automotive class decided to kill his Grand today. Luckily for me, I was on his good side cause I got a lot of free stuff. I only wanted the wood paneling or whatever you'd like to call it, that I had seen surrounded by the radio. Then I saw the wood paneling on all four doors, and where the cigarette lighter was at.

I took all door panels, and everything else in front that had wood paneling, then I took the case where the 10 disc thing was in the back of the Jeep. Scored two skid plates, one for the transfer case and the other one for the front of the Jeep.

Would have been the greatest day of my life if the guy would have let me had all leather seats. They weren't ripped, but they needed cleaning. So I got everything else I wanted off that Jeep besides the seats, but all in all...I'm a happy Jeeper :D

Where did you find the parts to repair this? When I needed to do so, parts houses told me it was non serviceable and needed to be replaced, not repaired. I went with a bone yard one as I wasn't paying Big $$ to replace that DS.
Driveshaftparts.com used to have it, but their website was down when I bought it. I bought it on ebay instead, and it was funny to open the box and find another box with "driveshaftparts.com" label on it. Their site's working now though. I used the original bolts off the driveshaft, as the ones supplied seemed like they'd be a bit too big on the head and wouldn't fit. Buy some red loctite and put a drip on each bolt. Front and rear CV bolts have to come out, just make sure you clean the threads and put the loctite on them before reinstall. It took me about 2 hours to do total, by myself, no floor jack.

I paid $105 shipped off ebay.
