I was just wondering what are some cheap cool mods.... I've already got the stainless steele brackets, nuts and bolts. But what are some other things?
I did the D-rings on mine - got them 2 for a buck at the local flea market - looks great! I will post pics laterMrBurns said:I think a better alternative to putting a small carabiner on the seat pull tabs is to go to a hardware store and get little screw pin D-rings. They usually have some that are the size of a keyring or a little bigger. Seems more Jeepish to me.
 gas mileage byebye. But i honestly do like that lookNowBetter said:Get a rooftop cage for $60 on ebay and put your spare tire ont top along with a shovel and a gas canister... looks good to me!

I've got a sawzall and Compressor with cut off wheel.
Dremel was handy, and I didn't have to take the lights off.
Here's a picture of the whole bumper.

I'll get pix soon.
Here's mine, painted some panels to match the flow/color of the tuffy glove box.Jackie said:I am interested in this. Don't tease us on the photos.
No idea what angle I cut it at? Took masking tape and moved it around on one side untill I liked the look of the angle, then cut the end off. Took the cut end to the oposite side and used it as a template.BRubi05 said:Thats a great idea till my new bumper comes in. Can you gimmie a little more info like at about what angle that is and if you painted the cut ends. Thanks
For what it's worth, my screen protractor says it's roughly 27 degreesBluesMan said:No idea what angle I cut it at? Took masking tape and moved it around on one side untill I liked the look of the angle, then cut the end off. Took the cut end to the oposite side and used it as a template.
I did paint the ends so they wouldn't rust.
What did you use for the hi lift mount?[/QUOTE]jrcaz7 said:HiLift Mount $6
talking about a body lift... it could be possible, but squeaking and creaking will almost assuradly be everpresent if you dont do it with the proper equipment. Also, a hockey puck is 3 inches wide, where a jeeps body lift bushings are around 1.5 - 2 inches, so they dont stick out past the body and frame.gavin45 said:Looking for a 1" Body lift that you can make/do youself for that little extra tire clearance. Not quite sure it will work on the jeep(due to diameter clearances), But a buddy of mine did it on a late 70's Chevy Pick up.
Hockey pucks(3" diameter, 1" thick). Drill out the center, buy longer bolts, I think there are 11 connecting the body to the frame on a TJ. I think pucks run about $1.00 last I saw.
did you do the back if so how bout a picBluesMan said:Dremel with cut off wheel. (5 of them) they're $4 for 10 at wallyworld.
