Post some pictures of your new ride. The more original the better. (Driveway shots get a little old after 12 pages of images.)

If you're new to the site, the images might not post for you, but don't worry, someone will come along shortly to quote the post and that allows the image to show up. (You're not doing it wrong, you just need a certain number of posts, 25 I believe, to get photo privileges)

Driving impressions, regrets, accolades and reasons for the decision are also welcome.

Welcome to the fray.

Here is mine half way through our trip in MI. I loved it for the ride up there and it handles the snow like no other vehicle I have owned. Put it in snow mode and I can mat it and it won't spin a tire.

Got some splash gaurds and slush mats ordered. I wanted the carpeted mats this go around but they just aren't practical for the winter weather. I will keep the carpets cleaned for nicer parts of the year.

I missed where yours is the overland. I'm looking into a limited and the lux package adds the vented front seats/heated steering wheel etc that comes standard on the Overland. I'm just not sure I want the air suspension that's why I was going with the limited.

That's one reason why I bought extra warranty coverage. I've used it quite a bit so far and haven't had any problems. <keeping fingers crossed>

That is pretty cool. Any way to make it stay in the highest lifted position to fit larger tires? I haven't seen one up close yet.
It will automatically lower back down to normal height once you get above 25 or 30 mph. You wouldn't want to drive around in the highest setting anyway since the air shocks are very stiff when completely filled. If you are considering a future lift I would recommend getting a non-QL WK2. I doubt any of the aftermarket suppliers will find a way to incorporate QL into a suspension lift, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong!

Hi. I notice Trail Rated badges missing on a lot of pictures.

What does it take to be trail rated?

I have a WK 11 Overland with 20 in wheels and skid plates were not an option.
I'm a little at odds too.. At first I thought it was because of 20'' wheels, then I thought it was because they simply stopped designating vehicles as 'Trail Rated'. I think it is the latter.

Trail Rated

I just talked to Charokee customer service and was informed it is the 20 in.

wheels and lack of skid plates. Not available with 20 in. wheels.

Sooooooooooooooo if you have a trail rated Jeep and modify the wheels and tires is the trail rating gone???????

Or add skid plates with 20 in wheels not trail rated???

Think I'll just enjoy it as is. At least I got a Hemi.

Cherokees must be equipped with the "Off-Road Adventure Pkg" in order to be considered trail-rated. Only then do they receive the badge on the drivers side fender.

However there is one guy on the other forum who has an overland without the off-road pkg who received a trail-rated badge. Pretty sure that was a mistake at the factory though.

Thought you guys might like to see some action shots of a wk2 I wheeled with at Rausch Creek in PA. He was pretty crazy with it, considering it was 2 months old. Its got the 5.7L Hemi.

My parents just picked up their new Overland today, the only option they wanted was the hemi, everything else is useless... Now, we have 3 Grand Cherokees in the garage:D My ZJ Orvis, my soon to be brother's WJ Limited, and the new 2011 Overland.

My WK2 after rocky road put a lift, rock rails, skid plates, and roof rack on it. I haven't seen it in person yet since I'm deployed overseas but it looks pretty good in the pictures.
Those are some great pictures, I like the second one best. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see a WK2 getting out there and exploring.

Old and New, almost nothing the same short of them having the Jeep name, 4wd, and V8s.
