I always like to see builds so here my recent build. I bought this 2003 4.0 Auto on October 23, 2007. It slid off a trail backward then rolled several times in Yucca Valley in July 2007. The only body part that was not damaged was the cowl A-pillar panels. Everything else was bent or damaged. This project is for my 15 year old son. I have tried to repair as much as I could and keep the cost to a minimum.

This is how I found it:

It would not start (found only a fuse was blown and it started right up

Depending on what you call stock tire size... that is 11" of stretch for 12" of tire if you use the SE tire size of 28". If you are using 31" tire, that is 11" of stretch for 9" of tire.

Blaine... nothing about his front axle?

Now you wish you had the sliders with the proper step that Blaine is supposed to design eventually. My offer still stands to be a paying tester if I haven't bought something else by then :rtft:

Today we spent the day with Jon Currie and friends. They wanted to do some interesting runs. Spent a couple of hours on SOS and 20 minutes on Chocolate Thunder.

The day was perfect! The weather was fantastic around 75-80 and a little wind. No body was there!

I broke a rear u-joint and pinion yoke chipped.

Did some real damage! I don't have pictures of it but I can throw away my besttop tub doors! I was so stuck and could only saw my way out.

Time to update this thread.

Well I'm entertaining the idea of selling the 03 to friend of mine. In the mean time it is going under the knife for a back half and stretch. Hopefully next month they can get it done. I want it stretched to about 105-106" so it will climb a little better. I will then be able to replace the 2" coilovers with the 2.5" that I originally bought for it but couldn't get them to fit. I want to take it out for one last Thanksgiving trip.

Nice, I'm in the process right now of back halfing mine too. My friend loaned me his tube bender so I'm going to have some fun. I going to redo the rear of my cage, lose the rear tub and stretch it to some :D.

gerald.. whats up buddy. i finally got threw this thread.. nice buddy very nice.

i was thinking about a new cage and the rear cage tie ins as well- yours look great. also with that... i had been thinking about bracing the corners.... and you mentioning that the rear lower wheel well corner being suceptible to damage per se'..:p.. i was thinking about adding a corner brace [bushing style] from the corner to the rigid cage support. just a random fabrication thought.

again.. awesome build... i need to get my tail in gear...
