A/C Problem

NEW MEMBER AND JEEP OWNER!I have a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport (TJ) w/ the 4.o I-6 engine. I just purchased it 3 days ago so I don't know much about it. After driving today, I noticed an oilly fluid with a green tint on the top of the front passenger fender. When I opened the hood, the same fluid was sprayed on the underside of the hood and the battery area. It appears that the larger hose on the A/C accumulator has pulled out of the pipe fitting it was attached to and the fluid came out of the hose. There is still a metal clip on the hose. The A/C now only blows warm air. Can I just put that hose back into the pipe or is this gonna require a more extensive/expensive repair?

You are going to have to get a new end crimped onto the hose and then get a new accumulator ($45) then if you live in a state that you can buy refrigerant do it yourself (about $20) or have a shop do it. Also do not turn on your A/C or your defroster until you have fixed it otherwise your compressor could get damaged.
