Hey all,

I hate to be "that guy." Just got some questions about a Jeep I'm looking at. I have searched already about this.......

Looking at an 07 Wrangler X. 1 owner, 39k on the clock. I have read all the recall items for 07, and they have been done on the one i'm looking at.

Anything specific I need to look at or known problems that this year/model has?

Thanks! :cheers2:

find out the build date (will be listed on the sticker inside the door.

If it was built before December '06, it might have a D35 rear end. If it does, run away!

Or offer $2000 less and use it toward a D60...

yup, that will have a D44 rear.

^Sounds fun! If I get it before then, i'll try to make it out there!

Anthing else I need to be aware of w/ an 07?
It will more than likely leak, rattle, and make you grin like an idiot. Always. Even when you sleep.
Your beard will grow faster and thicker. Women will follow you around and men will want to be you.

Thats what they said when I got my Disco, all I got was empty pockets :(
Well, your pockets will still stay empty with the Jeep. But at least you'll be spending your cash on mods rather than repairs. ;)
I wheel with plenty of Rovers from the ExPo crowd. Somebody's got to be around to jump-start them.

Haha, ouch! True story though! Found out my yesterday one of my dad's accounts is Rusty's in AL.

'07 JK is good. the dealer should be able to check on the recalls. a good dealer will check during oil changes and such and ask the customer/owner if he/she wants the recall taken care of.

BTW, Russrover, I've been having really good results with Ed Voyles Jeep in Marietta. They're mod-friendly and have been giving me discount rates.
They're not perfect but they try pretty hard for good service.
