how much slip does my yoke need

specificly how much compression should I have from an at rest position. After the sye install the shaft has plenty of outward travel but maybe a half inch of inward. Ot doesn't feel like it bottoms out though so maybe is just has a butt load of grease. Its a tom woods kit with a rubber boot over the yoke so I can't tell by looking at it what point of its travel its at.

Following my SYE, I had an XJ CV shaft cut and balanced for my new rear drive shaft. The driveline shop set my slip yoke at 1 1/4" extended in the "at rest" position. This means I can compress 1 1/4 inches if needed.
No issues yet at close to 2 years.

You can call Tom Woods and ask specifically, he'll tell you.
