Ive probed around looking for loose wires but no luck. Is there anyway to disable this VATS? Please help can some one guide me she needs it for school, Thanks in advanced

You need to lock and then unlock the drivers door with the key to disarm the system. If it still doesn't work theres a purple and yellow wire that needs to be cut and grounded out. There are plenty of threads with pics on the subject.

i have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and i have had it for 3 years and has never failed to start so i go out this morning and it turns over but will not start...IT CRANKS GREAT BUT WILL NOT HIT AT ALL, IT ACTS LIKE ITS OUT OF GAS BUT IT HAS A FULL TANK BUT THERE IS A DASH LIGHT ON FOR THE 1ST TIME THAT SHOWS A KEY WITH A CIRCLE AROUND IT WITH A SLASH MARK THROUGH IT.... Ill turn the key on and ill not hear the fuel pump kick on and the gas gauge and battery gauge dont work but the rest of gauges work so im thinking its something to do with the key dash light being on and cutting the fuel pump off but id like to know how or what i could do to fix the problem .....ALL FUEL PUMP FUSES ARE GOOD BUT ID LIKE TO HAVE ADVICE ON MAYBE RESETTING THE SECURITY SYSTEM OR MAYBE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE KEYS..IM HOPING FOR A QUICK FIX TO ELIMINATE THAT DASH LIGHT AND GET THE FUEL PUMP WORKING AGAIN...The batery is junk now because oof trying to start it so many times which the battery wasslowly going bad in this cold whether because it like 6 yrs old...I WONDER IF A BAD BATTERY WOULD HAVE STARTED THIS PROBLEM SO IF ANYONE COULD HELP I WOULD APPRECIATE IT...THKS

Hey there, you're on your way to getting help except for a few little things.

This (6 years dead) thread and forum section are about the 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee ZJ, your 2002 is a WJ. They have very different alarm systems.

You will get better help by creating a new thread in the WJ section here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f310/

You will also get better help is you use all the buttons on your keyboard, particularly the return key. You can leave the capslock key alone though.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
