I also used to run 33 x 9.50 BFG MT's and 34 x 10.50 LTB's on my old Toyota's. Knew a guy in college that ran 38.5 x 11 Boggers, THOSE worked good!
No pictures, but I was very impressed that last time I saw some in action. This guy in an old built Ford was trying to get through a mud pit on really wide 35" mudders. He was spinning and just trying to get through, he actually took 4 runs at the hole before he got through. A guy with an old school Power Wagon on really skinny 35's or 37's tried it right after the Ford did and he walked right through it. It was very interesting to watch.

Dont know if anybody makes them^ But trust me...34X10.5 is skinny enough. I love skinny tires and I thnk a 34X9.5 would look to skinny. The 10.5 looks perfect
I had some 34x10.5 super swampers

BFG MT's in the 33x10.50's flavor on 15x7" Jeep steelies. LOVE the combination. I can air down to a good trail pressure without slipping a bead off the wheel, dig through mud/rocks/dirt etc.. and still drive it daily. PLUS i don't have to run those extended flares to stay street legal!

Nice rig Punisher - got a side shot?

at speed a wide tire hits the mud/snow and stops. It pulls the vehicle sideways. Three things work against safety with wide tires.

Light vehicle
Short vehicle
Speed. Not even excessive speed.

Watch Tour DeFrance... Incredible speeds thru rain on a bicycle because the tire contact patch is less than an inch wide.

Tall skinny pizza cutters equal minimal resistance.

so why do skinny tires do better in mud/snow?
digs through all the crap so they can get to the bottom where the ground is solid(er),

Too skinny for my flavor, but I did try them and did not like.

34x10.50 on 15x7's

34x10.5 LTBs, like them alot. They dig to china and you can still run a decently low pressure.

I really really dislike those wheels appose to the stock moab wheels... sorry to sound like a negitive nancy...

also I really dont like the looks of skinny tires... although they are proven offroad they lack good mall crawlin points... ;)

That's ok man. I got them for $250 wheels and tires, wheels were repainted, tires ad less than 250 miles on them and were grooved for better traction (didn't help), so when I found that deal, I said h3ll, why not try them.

I didn't like them off road, compared to my other (TrXus) tires, so then in turn sold them for $450 to another jeeper, bought two more sets of wheels and finally came out with this set up.

i love the old school look of the skinny tires, but as far as skinny tires there arent that many sizes to choose from like maybe a 32x10.50 or 32x9.50, it seems like there is a bigger vareity in the 16in rim rather than the 15in, i might just go with a 16 in rim

in other words: you dig down to the solid ground, rather than floating on top in the slimy loose stuff.
