What is the easiest (cleanest) way to remove the gold pin-striping on my 1994 ZJ LTD? Is there some fluid I can rub on that just removes it, or do i scrape them off? is there a special rubber scraper that won't damage my paint? Just wondering. Thanks in advance!
If you are talking about the gold strip under the windows..then that has to be wet-sanded off, well at least mine does on my 94. It is painted on I believe, if your isn't then just peel her off.
If you are talkin about the gold strip on the cladding, then taht stuff just peels off and then I bought some adhesive remover and rubbed all the extra glue off. My friend and I took every peice of gold off (excpet the painted part) in about 2.5 hours. It shouldn't take that long but we just decided to do it one night out of the blue.
Can you provide some detailed pics of your jeep, so we can see what it looks like with the gold removed?
