Hey guys I guess it's time I start my build thread and get some input on my build so far. I'm going to post what I've done and get everyone caught up to where the build is now. I've always been a zj guy but I bought my first xj last September and I can't go back to a grand now. Anyway, here are some specs on the xj.

1999 Cherokee sport
4.0
Aw4
Np242
Dana 30 and Dana 35

I picked her up with 159k on the clock and in need of some tires and a windshield for 2k.

Its not going to be too big. It'll start right at the windshield and extend back about 8" give or take.. I figure I can make tabs that mount to where the visor clips mount (if they're sturdy) or weld some small nuts to the inside of the roof so I can mount it with several small fine thread bolts. Idk. Ill figure it out as I go haha

What the gauges for.. I can't tell. I really want to get a trans temp gauge and a trans cooler with an EFan ... and maybe a fuel pressure gauge ... It's always nice to have real time data .. you can tell right away if your having a problem and what it is.

One is an oil pressure gauge. Just in case my stock sending unit fails. The other is a tach. Dont really need a tach but it was free so can't beat that. I want a trans temp gauge though.

Got a couple small updates. Got a new exhaust setup. Just a flowmaster 40 series with a turn down before the rear axle. Also I got a jcr pre runner hoop as a birthday present so I welded that on amd trimmed the corners of my bumper because they are always in the way of my flex.

Thats the only non-tube bumper I've seen that I like other than c4x4. You have plans for it?

Thanks man!

Nice exhaust setup! Wish I could run mine like that but the vibrations drive me nuts!
Honestly I don't get any vibes from my exhaust. I get them from my rear pinion angle. I love the exhaust set up so far though!

Got doorless this weekend! I didn't get to do the rear doors because of the weather but it was an easy mod. I cut the hinge pins and re drilled the holes to accept larger quick pull pins. No sag at all so far.

I lived in florida for 6 months last year... I can't believe I came back to this ****... haha did you do all 4 doors or just the front 2?

Crashed the jeep a little bit.... it won't let me post pictures from my mobile app for some reason... it says they're to large..

#164 ·
Is it still able to be driven? And I can't post pics either. The limit is set so small I can't even find a camera that takes pictures that bad.

#165 ·
I used to be able to post them just fine. Wtf happened??? I bent my front axle and my drag link and tie rod and track bar. Crunched my fender and broke my mirror and head light and wind shield. And I have various dents down the passenger side. I drove it all the way to Ohio from colorado the day after it happened lol

The new owners happened. They don't understand that they are driving people away to other forums with their ridiculous rules and limits and crap.

That's good it still drives though. Other than the axle everything seems like easy fixes. Maybe you should use it as an excuse to go for different ones?

Oh and my airbags deployed but yeh its not bad. My plan was to go to a 9" rear and a hp 44 in the front and go to 7" of lift and long arms and 37's lol but right now I'm broke after just moving so I'm swapping a junkyard 30 in for the time being.

#168 ·
Do 2 9s if you can find a front. I've got a 60 for sale if you ever find yourself in MD.

#169 ·
Two 9s huh?? I was gunna do a hp44 and a 9 just cuz late 70s fords are a dime a dozen and had that axle combo
