okay so i am about as dumb as you can come when it comes to math. now ive been reading for ever trying to figure out how to get my driveline to work with out vibs and im getting no where... so i am running a 2.5in RC suspension lift with an AA sye and a TW CVDS. i have pictures of where i measured and what numbers i get. but i just cant figure this out and its making me frustrated beyond belief at this point. so can you guys help me out. thank you.
so does that mean i need to add an additional 10* shims to the existing 6* shims that are already in place? this is where i am confused. i feel as if my diff is not 11* off from the ds.
You're right. Not sure how I ended up with 11 or 12. I just set mine up last weekend but i just cut my spring perches off and welded some new ones on in the appropriate spot.
You would be better served to take your measurements on the flats of the yoke vs the case. The pinion yoke ears should be horizontal when measuring. Use that number (angle) and match it up against the drive line angle. Split the difference and you will have the number you are looking for. Not a bad idea to subtract a degree or two from the final number to allow for the torque created on acceleration.
