Round two folks! I thought we'd give it another try and see what kind of trouble we can get into! Provided the gates are open and it's not raining, we will meet up at the Kmart parking lot in Lakeport at 9:30 AM Saturday morning with a 9:45ish departure to the trail head. Once at the trail head, we will break up into groups. The number of jeeps that attend will determine how many groups we will have. My plan is to offer 2 or 3 difficulty levels. We can do "Easy" "Moderate", and "Difficult", or something to that effect. Suggestions on this are welcome. We have plenty of time to plan, so I'm hoping to make this run better than last year.

A couple of volunteers and myself will be executing scouting runs between now and the run date to map trails that will work for said difficulty levels. For those that have never been to Cow Mt., it is an OHV area maintained by the BLM. I use the term "maintained" loosely because many of the trails have been neglected over the years. The website provided below has a map of the area and trail difficulty ratings. These ratings are not exactly true to form anymore. This is why we will be scouting trails to get a better idea of difficulty, and whether they are too overgrown with brush.

At the end of the day, we will all hopefully meet up at the obstacle course on the Ukiah side of the area. There are campsites near by for those who would like to camp, or a short drive into Ukiah will provide hotels off the 101 corridor.

Here are a few highlights from last years run....

Cavavan to the trailhead.

Staged at the trail head.

Check out the clearance I am getting back. New rock rails will be on soon. Found a ton of mud getting these steps off lol. And yeah, I really want to hit trail 23 from the horse watering hole side in.

Soft top? Ugh, I'm kicking myself for missing out on the couple that were on CL the last few months. They're gone now. They were like 250 for everything (supposedly, I never double checked about door surrounds). Just gonna keep saving for an ORH top I guess. I was gonna get the Bestop one but read too many issues about poor quality on them. The only thing bad I read about ORH was the slow turnaround since it's a one man shop.

Exactly why I went with this over the spider top but now I am rethinking the spider top cause you can run the hard top over it. This one you have to do one or the other... guess after rainy season this will be just fine lol

LOL! When you pay to be a supporting member, you get bookoo PM storage among a few other perks. Oh, and a nifty sticker, lol! I probably should re-up, but it's not high on my priority list right now.
I am! I have the sticker just need to find the right spot for it. Lol

I have a bikini top but changed over to the spider web cause it doesn't use windshield channel and like you said I can run it under the soft or hard top. I'm really happy with spider web, one of the best things for my jeep.

10-4 freedom panels are over the front -driver and passenger on the jku. I think I am going to stay with the cover I have for now. It only took me 5 min to go from hard to soft to nothing... hahaha that sounds funny for those of you with your mind in the gutter lol
