I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.
The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.
So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!
Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?
If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!
Carb rebuild failed.(I think anyways)
Got it to start and idle for about a minute. Still cant rev it at all. It pops farts and smells like its running rich. Gah! Why cant anything I buy just work? Its like the car gods are shunning me for past screw ups
Check the exhaust black smoke means you are running rich. Blue is oil, white is water. I would lean it out and see what happens. You might need to re jet that thing as well.
have you hooked up a vacuum gauge yet to make sure that you are drawing enough vacuum. Does the carb have a built in choke, if so how is it operated. Manual/electric/automatic. If your choke is staying closed, it will limit the air, hitting the throttle with the choke on will make your A/F mixture very rich. How confident are you on your rebuild also?
There is a huge sammi following. They hold their value the same way a wrangler does. They can be really bad *** when built up. They are tiny as heck and tend to flip..... A lot .
When the liberty first came out I kinda liked it. Then I parked one when I did valet and It was the crappiest new car I ever parked. I compare it to a PT cruiser. Just junk.
I had the pleasure of renting a fiat 500 in dallas of all places. Went econo right... Walk up... "Sir, we're out of the Toyota Camery you had reserved so we're giving you a Fiat 500 if that's okay?" At this point I'd never seen a Fiat 500. Sounded cool to me!!! I'm thinking something like the chrysler 300 or whatever knowing Fiat is the parent company now. So I'm all stoked and then walk out to the garage to find it's a clown car! Now the purpose of this trip was literally to meet a friend of mine from San Diego in Dallas cause we scored cheap flights and we'd never partied in Dallas so why not... My flight comes in about 2 hours before hers so I get the car and go pick her up curbside. She's mortified when she see's me pull up. Once inside she's all "it's not that bad of a car I guess, it's nice inside." That's when I point out the people on the curb laughing at us! People would point, then say a couple words and then look back my way laughing!!! So pathetic!!!! We stayed at a hotel that was valet only right... The guy brings our car around and is laughing as he pulls up. We tell him it's a rental and a POS and we all have a good laugh. Pretty much the entire weekend everywhere we went was the same watching people point at us, turn to each other and say a couple words, then look back our way laughing!
even worse, I want to go topless but because of the kids I cannot. My son has already had 2 sets of tubes and my daughter would throw everything out the window!!!
I was thinking of taking the top off today, but then I'd just have to put it back on Tuesday. We're planning a trip into CA and the trails get way too dusty with the top off.
I think the whole year, I have the top off maybe 5-10 days.
