A/C blows warm air above 45mph

My 98 TJ blows outside temperature air inside the cabin even when A/C is on at speeds above 45-50. Anything lower than that it blows ice cold air. Anyone know where I should look first for problems? :)

Spend $25 and get a refill kit with a gauge.Typically 97-99' Tj's get vacuum leaks that stop the A/C from blowing out of the vents at any load of the engine(higher speeds). If it doesn't switch to defrost vent only, recharge it.

You are correct, you now have two problems, one is you have to fix your clutch or risk severely overheating your rig when the serpentine belt gets tossed off when the clutch locks up and the second is your vacuum leak causing the blend door to default to the heat side.

Have an experienced Tech check out that clutch. But, I think that it's a vacuum leak. When you get above 45, it's starving for air. How's your idle with the a/c on? Jeeps have cracky vac hoses all over. Start with a bright light and closely examine for cracks in any thin vac. hose. Look everywhere under the hood and underneath. Don't forget to check the hoses that lead down to the front diff. too.

ok found some new things today. No junkyards have compressors around me so I havent gotten one yet. But I hooked a bottle of freon with the psi gauge on it to see the low side pressure and it is around 80 psi which is not good. Also the bearing in the compressor is shot, the pulley was wobbling back and forth 1/2 an inch. And the air coming out isnt cold and smells HORRIBLE. So far im thinking to replace compressor, and check the orifice tube for blockage(If someone could tell me where that is it would be great)
