I have a 93 YJ. I've already replaced the Relay and re-wired the Motor to the switch at the connector but they still work intermittently. The switch is good because I've already checked the connectors with a multimeter. The only two things I haven't touched are the intermittent wiper relay box and the ground wire. After not having wipers for a month I drove it to school today and they started working after I drove the brick roads. Any suggestions?
2nd step. have ur jeep on the ON position. (dont start it) ... turn ur wipers on. and go shake the wiper relay box... if they come on. at anytime during that time you shake it. you prob have short in the box or around it. . (shake the cables going to it as well)
Remove the intermittent wiper module and plug the two connectors together and see if your wipers work on fast, slow and mist settings. If they do, you need a new module. If you can live without the intermittent wipers, then just leave it without the module.
dont know... ignore that ground..(for now). till i find out (need look at some diagrams. sometime tomorrow ... but go ahead and check the rest of the stuff. mentioned
Yeah the washer pump turns on but when I take the intermittent box out of the equation the wipers don't come on when the pump does. I just need to know where that ground wire is so I can take that out of the equation. Everything else checks out but the ground and the intermittent box. When I flip the wipers on with the IB (Intermittent box) plugged in there is a clicking like a relay makes several times and then a delay and then they start working. I will Bypass the IB and drive around the brick roads and run the wipers and see if they stop at all.

I just put a new connector on my ground yesterday - my electrical power was low & got better w/ higher RPM's. All good - so far.
My ground (that I reworked) was on the motor block - passenger side, below the valve cover maybe 4" from the very back of the motor. (so b/w the coil & the firewall). Hope that helps.
Yeah. It was the ground. When I replaced my exhaust manifold, cleaned my intake and replaced my valve cover gasket I had all the wires undone. The ground wire wasn't making contact so when I plugged everything back in, properly, it fixed the problem.
