Yeah I can imagine MD is tough. Not as bad as NYC though :-(. Make sure you check the rifle twist per inch in the barrel. What are your end goals for your rifle. High accuracy varmit rifle or just a field rifle for for plinking rounds through? If I had to do it over I would have gotten a barrel with a much higher rifle twist (accuracy).
its going to be a 1 in 9" twist and something fun to learn on and i plan to make it as accurate as possible and just something fun to shoot around.
Scott, I thought you could easily get an AR-15 in MD as long as it wasnt full auto?
well you have to be 21 to get a light barrel AR-15 but if its HBAR you can be 18. I was going to build one with an HBAR but the bottom end is considered regulated and i have to be 21 for that and the laws are very unclear about what the gun part is and if the bottom end is regulated with an unregulated HBAR top end it could go either way depending on the ffl but i dont want to take the risk with that.
