Member #690 Hello fellow Jeepers my name is Brian, I've been on the forum a few years now and several Jeeps later here I am. So far I've lifted every one my self and have turned all the wrenches keeping them on the road and off. Other interests include fishing and hunting ,playing drums ,listening to loud music and building and constructing things out of wood. I've been burning metal together lately trying to hone my welding skills as well. Past and present Jeeps 96' xj ,07' Rubi jk lifted ,11' sport jk lifted, 12'sport jk lifted moded,04'wj lifted. Built and paid for by the sweat of my brow and the blood on my knuckles.
Well im Brian most people call me Whitey aka DaWhiteMan I have a 93 zj with a f>r v8 swap and a 2.5" spacer with a TR rear bumper right now. will be doing other mods later
hi im rob. I think im #693 Ive been a gear head since I was a young kid aways taking my rc cars apart and making them better lol. I also graduated tech school as a mechanic/ 2 stroke specialist and hvacr tech. I have never brought a vehicle to a shop, am always working on everyone I knows vehicles for next to nothing. built up my brothers xj for him and fell in love with jeeps when I got done building up my 02 impala I traded it for a zj with a few mods already. I have big plans for it in the future. working on vehicles is a hobby for me as I don't like mixing my hobbys and my work.
Hi everyone, My name is Don and I race my jeep in mud drags, I am a former Marine and build my toys myself. I will soon be installing a 383 stroker in place of the 350 I installed to replace the tired 304. I am a long range competitive shooter and have been married to a great woman for 10 years.
Hey! My name is Dave, and I'm currently doing a frame-up build of my '89 YJ. Like most Jeeps, it was in desperate need of rust repair, and one thing led to another.... It's in my DNA to tear a vehicle down to its bare bones, fix what needs fixing, customize and/or upgrade the rest to my liking. I usually end up with a "too nice looking" rig, but that's because the only way I know how to do things is to do the best job I can. Half-assed doesn't cut it with me.
I'm maintaining a fairly detailed account of my build here on jeepforum.com.
So, how do I find out what number I am?? lol If I had to guess, 718?
Hi, I'm Mike Gardner. I'm a long time Jeep owner & over the years I've owned about 23 CJ's and Wranglers.
1945 CJ-2A #1,713 I built this CJ from the pile of rust it was when I bought it in 2004. It's a daily driver, lots of videos of me beating the snot out of it on YouTube (user name Mike Gardner)
1995 YJ 4.0 loaded w/ 4.5 Rubicon Express Extreme Duty on MTR Kevlar's. AEV bead locks, drive shafts, Never a finished Jeep but is a daily driver and wheeled Jeep.
2012 JK Unlimited Sport. 3.73 J8 wheels 33x9.5 BFG KM2's. AEV Builders Corner Guards recessed MRap LED tail lamps. AEV 2.5 Dual Sport, Hanson Mid length bumper & junk Rancho rear. I-Seesystems.net steerable LED fog lamps & that's about it other then functioning gun turrets.
2013 AEV JK350 Rubicon Unlimited which brings me to work every day. For a living I'm the North East Regional Manager for American Expedition Vehicles. I have the job of my dreams and am lucky enough to work for a great company doing what I love everyday.
My name is Pete and my current project is combining a 71 CJ5 rolling frame and drive train with a CJ2A fiberglass body that my son and I picked up. So far we have settled on body position, and are using a 1 inch body lift, and 32 inch tires. Iím finishing installation of a new aluminum radiator (made for a Toyota Scion) and electric fan. For strength reasons, I decided to use an original metal front grill instead of the fiberglass one, which previous owner had fiber glassed to the two front fenders. I unfiberglassed the fenders from the grill, and strengthen and repaired them, sent the metal grill to the sand blaster and now they mount and fit really nice. The fiber glass body needed a lot of TLC, but that is coming along good and I hope to have it finished soon. Goal is to build an Old School rock crawler, from the ground up, without throwing gobs of money at it. Picked up a set of 5:38 ratio ring and pinions, and want to go with some form of locker and spring lift.
My name is Mike. Served in the Navy for 6 years. I work as an auto tech here in Richmond, VA. I've always been a gear head since I was a little kid helping my dad do drum brakes on his old Ford inline six f-150. That hooked me to it. I believe in moderation as far as builds, as in if I don't need it yet I'm not going to invest in it. A locked 44 for the rear is coming when the money allows, until then, K.I.S.S.
TJMike2011- bought my rig in 2011 and have worked on it with my son since. I am 60 yrs old and a GTO fan and owner. My Jeep is a 1998 TJ and have completely rebuilt tthe damn thing from the motor, a 2.5 l 4cyl, all new brake lines, 3" rustys springs, RR track bars, skyjacker shocks and rear swaybar, new brake system, new bumpers, and lites, ect. Only see's the shop for inspections and tires(33x10.50x15) on Dick Cepac wheels. I have installed a Dana30 TracLoc in the front and a D35 Trutrac in the rear along with all balljoints ,bearings, hub *** and everything axle related. 2 and 1/2 yrs later and $$$$.00 later I am close to being done.
My other hobbies are Live Steam Trains, NASCAR, and the Founding Fathers. Also an avid shooter of pistols, revolvers and long guns, 40 cal, 45long colt and 30-06 are my favorite numbers. that's all I can think of for now, oh yea, it's a 72 GTO; cardinal red with white interior, in my son's garage for a face lift.
Hi everyone. My name is Pat and I guess I am number 735. I bought my TJ April of last year and have slowly started moving farther from stock with forum and craigslist parts. Still haven't quite figured out where I want to go with it yet. I am 24 and love to spend my spare time wrenching on the heep.
