Built Not Bought
Hey Wes Campbell here, bought a stock 00 Grand and been getting bigger and better every time I have an extra dollar to spend
Hello, My name is Chris. I have been wanting a jeep for years now and finally purchased a 2005 TJ last November. I was getting ready to order a slew of new parts when a car pulled out in front of me in town causing me to hit it. Since it wasn't my fault and the insurance is covering the damages, which sped along the process. I have new front and rear G2 Dana 44 axles replacing the stock 30 and 35, stuffed with 4:88 gears and Detroit Truetracs ( still a daily driver but want to upgrade to ARB lockers in the future). I bought a brand new np231 and will be installing an SYE kit and Tom Wood front and rear drive shafts to it. I have also up graded to all new MetalCloak fenders and front bumper. I hope to have all this done in the next couple weeks. Then once I have a little more money saved up, probably around Christmas I am planning on upgrading to a 3.5" or 4.5" RE lift, a new rear bumper. 35's, and rock rails
#562? I think. My name is Sam. New Jeeps. I have only had my '87 yj since march. I have totally rewired it and added a motorcraft 2150 carb. I am currently building my front and rear bumpers. My ford 8.8 rear end is almost ready to instal. My hobbies are my jeep, ham radio, hunting and fishing.
#564 I am guessing..
Licensed Electrician for many yrs, love the outdoors, motorcycles, shooting, & river time.
My jeep is a 91' YJ, rear 3/4 armor and rock rail tubes.
I built the front bumper, rear swing-out bumper, the front flat tube fenders.
Built a center console out of a military ammo can, too many things to list for my first post in this section.
I Built a grill for my jeep from total scratch, it rides in the hitch receiver during transport.
I'm Building a bug out trailer right now, to haul behind the jeep.
Picked up a set of 2000 F250 axles, D60 HP front w/ manual lockout hubs and a D70 rear, 4 wheel disc brakes.
I Have 2 d44 fronts and a D60 drum rear I'm probably going to sale soon cheap..
I'm looking forward to checking out your builds and ideas, and trying to contribute to this group.
My Dad engrained into my head at an early age, "if you can't do it, you're not trying hard enough", & "You're only limited by your own mind..."

Hi I'm Chris and I Guess I'm #566
Mechanic & Logistics Manager
My Jeep is a 90 Cherokee Limited
Bought it bone stock and have done every ounce of work and bought every part myself on it since i acquired it
Current Mods include a 3" Lift, Light Bar, Switch Panel, winch bumper, Snorkal, Bendix-9 Brake System removal (Replaced with a Booster set up from a '96 Cherokee) some other stuff I installed.. going to be fabbing up a rear bumper and rock sliders for it as soon as I get time and money.
Hey BNB! Hi im Mark, 18 years old, and jeep owner for over a year and a half now. Im not too experienced with doing heavy duty mods but give me enough time and I can figure anything out since I've been raised around cars, car people, and power tools...
PS. how do I find out my member number? After I registered it said their were 576 people in the group, is that my number?
I may not have fabrication skills, but my adage for years has been "Nobody touches my cars but me." The only exception to that rule is when it requires super expensive tools (like alignment gear, etc). No shop gets my money!
hey my name is james i got my 87 yj at the age of 15 and have been wrenching/fabbing ever since, all doing so on a tiny college budget
Hi Fellow Jeepers-
My name is Mike, I live in Maine, and I love to 4X4!!! I also love to tear things apart and re-engineer them. I'm am a Machinist, by trade, but now I inspect Automatic Weapons, the Parts, the Tools, and the Gages that help produce the weapons, for a company called General Dynamic Armorment & Technical Products.
I've just finished a Frame off Restoration on my 1981 CJ7. I shoehorned a 300+ HP Chevy 350, a TH700R4 Trans, and a Dana 300 Transfer Case into it. I have a 4" Skyjacker Suspension Lift with a 1" Prothane Body Bushing kit. I've got 33x12.5x15's on it for now. I installed a power brake booster w/ NiCop brake lines and stainless steel hoses. I also put a 4X4 Hardware fiberglass tub, hood, fenders, and windshield frame on it. I grounded all of the wiring to the frame. I just need to bend a 2.5" exhaust, for it, and I'll be driving it in the spring.
I could go on, but I don't like to type. LOL
