Quick question for you guys. So I am in the process of trimming my fenders. I have already removed the flares. I also decided to remove the plastic end caps in the rear. Removing all the metal that was holding up the flares was a piece of cake. However, for the life of me I can't seem to figure out how to remove the metal clip that held up the plastic caps.

I thought maybe there were nuts on the other side like everything else. But this is what is directly behind:
What am I missing here? How should I go about removing this piece?
