Will RRO rock rails fit a Compass

I called RRO and they said that they "didnt think" the RRO rock rails (Patriot)would fit a Jeep Compass. Is this correct? I would assume the rails would fit considering they Compass and Patriot share the same chassis.

We will see, the girlfriend just picked up her compass Saturday so I'll guaeg her interest in spending any extra cash right now. If so I think I'll hit up the local Jeep dealer and take a good hard look at the differences between the Compass and Patriot, along with measurements and some pics. If everything comes out equal I'll give it a shot with gf approval.

Sweet! Thanks Gramps.

When I called the receptionist just took a few minutes to ask someone in the office about it. They obviously didnt know, and if RRO didnt fab up the design on the Compass I'm sure they just went the safe route and said no.

too bad the RRO site only looks like they picture the super sliders not just the rock rails - although at that point for the difference in cost I'd probably go with the sliders anyway...

wonder if they have any more/better photos of them (like underside shots etc)

I emailed Glenn last night and got this back today.

Quote:
As far as I have been made aware, no one has mounted the rockrails onto the Compass... thought it looks like someone may have ordered a Patriot set and tried it out. If you want to let the forum guys know that if someone does want to officially order a set and they don't work, we will buy them back and pick up the shipping if it doesn't work out for some reason. So kinda of a 'no risk' plan for someone thinking about it. I would appreciate if that person let me know they did or didn't work though. And a couple pics would be really cool.
It looks like the ones that Glenn and I were talking about earlier was the thought it looks like someone may have ordered a Patriot set and tried it out, but they never heard back.

If they were in my budget I would do it because I feel sure that they will fit. There is no difference on the sheet metal itself, the floor pans are all the same according to the parts books. The only difference is the lower side molding that the rails protect, not attach to.

Pictures, pictures, we all want pictures and feedback if someone officially tries it. Who wants to be the first?

if I didn't have to tear my sideskirts off to be a guinea pig - I'd do it - but I'd hate to take the skirts off only to find out they don't work

Oh, now, have some faith. Here's what they attach to. Notice there are no 49 or 74 codes to distinguish between Compass and Patriot.

Thanks! Did you take those just for us? Those mounting points tell me what I need to know. You just helped me with my B-day list. That's one of my favorite colors for a Patriot - dirty red!
