Will a 235/60/18 tire fit a stock Compass?
I know there is alot of threads on tires around here. I've been through most of them.
Will a 235/60/18 fit at 29.1" tall?
I'm looking for a verified fit w/o a lift and with stock 18" wheels.

I've ran 225/60/18 without issues. I would like to fit 235/60/18.

I see that 235/65/17 which is almost exactly the same size fits.
Is the offset spacing different for the 17" vs. 18" wheel? I know the 18" wheel is wider, 6.5" vs. 7"

Bottom line, I'm looking for a verified fitment of 235/60/18 tires for a Jeep Compass. It's the Limited in 2WD. So I don't have any trailrated suspension.

My Compass Rallye came stock with 235/60/R18, so, there is direct verification.

I'm not doubting your tire size you have, but the stock tire size from the factory for the Compass Rallye was 215/55/18. Same size as every other Compass with 18" wheels. This is certain!
Did you buy your Rallye new? Maybe the dealership added a tire/wheel package aftermarket with this new vehicle.

I see that your Jeep is either Euopean market or Austrailian. Your profile says your Compass is the 2.0L CRD.
Tire sizes may very well be different in your market. US specs may be different. I stand corrected.

My Compass is powered by VW 2.0 TDI engine, it is European version of Compass. I don`t know if there are any other differencies between US and European models.
This one was imported from Germany by official dealer in my country (Serbia) with these tires.

I don't mean to highjack this thread, but I am wondering the exact same thing. I have a 2012 Compass Limited 4x4, and would really like to go to a 235 60 18 tire. The stock tires (215 55 18) are junk! However, I really don't want rubbing issues either. I know that 225 60 18 tires will work, but will go to the 235 60 18 if possible. Thanks in advance.:)

I ran 235/60-18 for about 4 years with no problems. Yes I have a lift but it's not the distance to the top of the fender well that's a problem, it's the front to back clearance and that stays the same, lift or no lift. You have to watch for brake line and a few other 'things' inside the wheel well but the only problems that you may encounter will be due to how much side wall bulge that the tire manufacturer has built into the tire. I ran Kumhos but I would not expect any major problems with any other tires.
