Why is it so hard to build the Patriot I want?

I have been to Jeep.com, carsdirect.com and a couple other sites trying to build the Patriot I want. Every time I choose an option I want it tells me I have to delete something I want, it's annoying as hell.

I want the following, can it be built?

Patriot
4x4
5-speed
26e package (power locks, windows, tint and other items)
17" alloy wheels and tires
sunroof

I just built your Patriot on jeep.com without a hiccup. 4x4 + Sport E package + manual tranny + Tire & Wheel Group + Sun/Sound Group.

Where's the problem?

When I chose the sport E package it would tell me I had to delete the 5-speed for the auto. Same thing happened at carsdirect.com.

That's weird. I chose 4x4 then Sport E...went to the Options tab and chose Tire & Wheel Group and Sun/Sound Group. 5-speed manual was already selected.

I own an '09 sport E 5spd Manual. I didn't build it online, my dealership had it on the lot but I can tell you for sure that they do exist.

Sounds exactly like my Patriot. You have good taste.

Without knowing what you have for a computer it's hard to be sure; but here's a thought.
It could be that the way the internet browser is set up on your system, some add on software is being blocked from loading (like an Active X control) that is required to run some additional part of the Jeep.com site.

I bought our Patriot off the lot in December 2007, it is a North Edition pretty loaded with the 5 speed but my dealer had their own website for getting a price quote and guess what? my package was not available on their software.
