I traded in my beloved 03 Liberty, V6 with a 5 speed. Loved the truck...hated the gas mileage. Now am loving my black Patriot, also a 5 speed.

I traded my Jeep Wrangler for the Compass too.
I miss my wrangler, and drive by the dealer every weekend. But I can not complain about the Compass at all. nice ride, sunroof and a compass in the rearview mirror so I don't get lost anymore. |

We ALMOST traded in a '99 Cherokee Sport, but at the last minute decided to just get the Compass and keep the Cherokee too. So far, so good.

I traded my 2004.5 Ram 2500 SLT Quad Short in for a 2008 Jeep Patriot Sport manual with the E package. I loved my Ram truck, but I did all the work to and around my house so I no longer needed a big truck. It ended up driving my son to school and getting groceries, both short trips and the engine would not even be all the way warmed up by the time my wife made it back home. It was getting about 17 MPG with 80% city driving.
I have to say that I had reservations getting rid of my truck, but the little jeep has won me over. I am already scheming to get a banged up MK (cheap) and build on it as a project car. I am thinking along the lines of a VW 2.0L diesel and some suspension work. |

I traded in my 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8S. It was a good car for the first 2.5 years then things would go wrong here and there. It got awesome gas mileage (28 city and up to 37 highway). Insurance cost more and parts cost more than domestic so no more foreign cars. Also car was too small for my fast growing toddler and it didnt handle well in snow. Currently own a 2004 Liberty and 2008 patriot sport 4x4 and both awesome!

I traded my 2001 Kia Rio for the Compass Sport. The Kia's a great little car, but it just didn't have enough utility for my needs. I needed something I can use for car camping.
The Rio was a little squirrelly in poor weather.

I love my Patriot. You can get so much stuff in there, especially when the seats are folded down. My husband brought home 2- 55 gallon barrels in the back of his (seats folded). It hauls his tools without any problem at all.
I've recommended it to anyone who asked me about it. Even my sister-in-law is looking at one. I'd definately recommend the 5 speed for the milage and the response. Have heard that the CVT is sluggish. |

I put $4k cash down for my '08 Patriot. Including the $2500 cash incentive, brought it down to for a total of $6500.
I was going to trade in my 2004 Mazda b2300 Pickup Truck, but they wanted a paltry $4,500 (even after I talked them up from $4200). I said no way, I can give it away at $4500. I privately sold my truck a week later for $6000. KBB private sale value was $6500. |

traded an '02 Ford Escape for the compass. I hated that escape with a passion so was more than happy to be rid of it to get my wife the compass

Believe it or not........an '06 Commander. My wife changed jobs and she needed a more fuel efficient vehicle than a 15mpg Commander.
