Traded in a 03 Liberty that had left us on the side of the road 4 times in two weeks! That and the gas mileage SUCKED with the Liberty. Getting at least 6 MPG more with the Compass.

We didn't trade exactly, but we went from a Honda Element to the Patriot. We loved the Honda (and instantly regretted selling it when we did), but the Patriot has helped ease our pain. If the Element had seated 5 and had AWD, we'd probably still have it. As it is, I'm happy!

I traded a 97 Suburban. Nice for what I used it for, but at 120,000, problems started to come faster. The last two things that sent me out looking were rusted out brake lines and the need for a new ABS pump assembly. Sure, I can't stick a full sheert of plywood in the Patriot, but that's what trailers are made for. The Patriot reminds me of my 1978 Subaru 4wd wagon.

I traded in a 2001 Dodge Stratus for our Patriot. This is the first Jeep/4x4/non-car vehicle I've ever owned. I've had it for a week and so far it's a great improvement on the old car.

We traded in a 2001 Mazda Protege for our 2008 Compass. We got $4350 for our old car. Not a bad deal considering that in our Province you need to have your car "safetied" before you sell it. Basically you have to fix certain things that are safety related.
Our old car had a damaged windshield which would have cost us at least $500 to replace and the car needed new struts which are about $500. I had the brake pads machined about two years ago so we probably would have needed new brake pads too. All of that and who knows what else would have had to be fixed for us to sell privately so I think getting $4350 wasn't bad. |

Thanks for joining us Chiquita! My wife is a big GC fan but she's been tempted by the new Libby's lately. Gotta LOVE the orange!

We are about to trade our '04 Liberty for an '08 Patriot. The Liberty was a great vehicle but the gas milage was brutal. My wife was recently transferred to another more distant store which prompted us to make the switch. The Liberty was solid and dependable with no major issues. We are hoping for the same with the Patriot.

Traded 2005 Chrysler Neon 2.0 LX for the Compass.
Mainly because Neon had too low ground clearance for my routes and no 4x4.

I will be trading in my 2005 Chevy Silverado (15 MPG). I was sure I wanted a Patriot then tonight I test drove both the Patriot and the Compass. Now I am unsure which I want. I am 100% sure it will be a 5 spd though. I was not a fan of the automatic transmission. It seemed as if it was a bit gutless compared to the standard transmission. Keep in mind I have been driving a 300HP truck for the last 3 years.

When we got married in the Fall, we decided to consolidate down to one car. We sold our 2000 Ford Focus SE and 2003 Chevy Tracker, and then bought our new Compass back in October. We found the Compass to be a good compromise between the two.

Traded in a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Briarwood with about 68,000 miles. Body was in excellent condition but had quite a few minor problems that just kept building up .
