Turn Signals Don't work but Hazards do.

I have a 2011 Jeep Compass. The turn signals just stopped working but the hazards do. I have been told that it is probably the flasher but I don't know where it is located. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

It could be that or the switch in the column. I had to replace mine at 80k miles. It didn't completely quit, it just flashed the opposite turn signal once before signaling the signal I was commanding if to turn on.

Also the flasher is probably on the same circuit as the hazard light switch and the turn signal switch. I'm not positive though. Hopefully someone else will chime in. If that's the case then if the hazards work and the flasher is on the same circuit, the I'd assume the turn signal switch in the column is bad.

New information

I did not notice this yesterday as I was looking into this during daylight hours.
The headlights come on when started even with the headlight switch off. The lights will not go into high beams either. Any ideas? Please note: this 2011 Compass has less than 29k miles on it and had never been in an accident.

Thanks in advance,

If that's case then it sounds like a faulty switch in the column. They're not hard to replace. Disconnect battery for air bag reasons. I believe there's three torx head screws hold the plastic trim over the column. then just disconnect the harness and unbolt it from the column. Just do the opposite order for reassembly with new part. Do you have a tow package on your Jeep. Also there's alot going on in those switches that can fail. Plastic over time doesn't hold up too well.
