Header for the 2.4?

https://www.mopar.biz/product_info.p...b1b880f2fea557

Anyone have any ideas on why this would NOT fit a Compass? Would assume if it fits a 2.4 liter Caliber, then it would work on the Compass. A lot of room back there.

Hmm, listed for the Compass, should work.

Interesting, maybe I can convince Lisa that we need more power.

Mopar Performance (Borla) Exhaust Dual outlet for Compass Rally AWD-4wd systems.

The Mopar cat-back exhaust system, features T304 2.25" stainless steel (aircraft quality) construction with mandrel-bent tubing, stainless band (Torca) clamps, and polished 3.125" dual wall tips. This free-flow system provides a horsepower and torque gain, improved fuel economy, and is CAD designed and dyno tested for optimal performance and sound. Install with the Tubular Exhaust Headers and Cold Air Intake System for an over 10 hp gain (measured at front wheels).

Mopar Performance (Borla) Header for Jeep 2.4L 2wd Compass / Patriot.

Bolt on this CAD designed and dyno tested Mopar performance tubular exhaust header to feel and hear the difference. Manufactured with heavy gauge powder coated tubing, this performance header features true mandrel bends and CNC machined fl anges for a factory-like fit. Install with the Cat-Back Exhaust System and Cold Air Intake System for an over 10 hp gain (measured at front wheels).

2007 Mopar Perf catalog lists Mopar Cold Air, Exhaust, and Header for Caliber, Compass, and Patriot.
Mopar perf header is listed for FWD vehicles only. It appears to be a Bolt on header. + OEM Manifold list only one p#?? So it may be that C-LLC hasn't test fit Mopar perf Header on AWD models yet??

Decent pricing.

Since the cat-back requires the rear-fascia for clearance, I wonder if the OEM fascia could be modified.

I'm sure it could be modified. A lot of people don't care to cut holes in a brand new fascia, But if your looking to build a "Sleeper" and don't want to loose grond clearance - I don't see why not. It's a matter of prefference.

interesting to see that exhaust is apparently for the Compass Rallye - since there's only a single cut out in the rear fascia of the Rallye you'd have to cut a driver side exhaust tip arch.

I would be interested to see some results of the header though (what is different in the backside of the motor that would perhaps not make it fit on the 4x4 versions?)

I also read the header is only for 2.0 and 1.8 L engines...didn't they only come in 2 and 2.4? :S....

New Guy

Hey guys, I'm pretty new here. I've been a long time lurker, just never really posted anything. Anyway, as for the headers, I just got them installed yesterday, and it is a confirmed fit, did it myself. The instructions kind of confuse you but it's a pretty straight forward installation. The only difficult part of the Exhaust manifold is that it is on the back end of the engine, which was pretty hard to reach, but it can be done.
Didn't notice much of a noise change due to the fact that I have the K&N Cold Air and the Magnaflow Exhaust, but did notice a much deeper tone, which made the Compass sound like a mean machine. Do notice the speed and horsepower increase. Overall, a good piece f equipment.

Do you have the FWD or AWD/4X4? A deeper tone would be great!

Where's my manners?

I have a FWD 2.4 L Jeep Compass CVT. And yeah, the engine just sounds great as a deep tone. Also, when I received the headers, the instructions actually said that they were for a 2006 Dodge Caliber.
