Trail rated badge

Does the Limited 4x4 automatically come with the Trail Rated medallion or do you only get this badging with the Freedom Drive II transmission?

Also does the FD I have the auto-stick as in the Compass?

I think I've got one on my rubi... maybe two. If you really need one, I suppose I can go rip one off. Do they help somehow?
Would some stickers get you over the more-difficult rocks? There's a guy on colorado4x4.org who makes custom decals. You could have it say anything you want.

Well, if Rally stripes can make a Camaro go faster, then a Trail Rated badge can make a Jeep off-road better. Gotta be true!

Hey, not everyone is a "hard-core" wheeler. People like to customize or personalize their vehicles to suit their tastes and lifestyles.
I say more power to them. If it gets people into driving their Jeeps and having more fun with them, then do it!

The whole idea of having a Jeep is to have fun, whatever your brand of fun may be. If some new stickers, badges, tires or whatever make you feel good then just do it. It's your Jeep, do it your way. There aren't any rules to it.

Absolutely! I ordered an authentic "Trail Rated" badge off of a dealer on eBay. Because my FDI-equipped Patriot is definitely "Trail Rated" for the type of trails that *I* will be on. (nothing more aggressive than the occasional gravel driveway)

If I find myself in anything tougher than that, I may need to spring for a "TurboDiesel" badge.

FWIW- if you call jeep (800 #) direct they will send you one no charge (at least they used to)

My FDI Patriot is now trail rated!

I can't wait to tackle the rough trails now.

Hmmm I'm definitely going to have to put one of those on my compass just for fun. I think people underestimate what the non FD II compatriots can do. If it can survive a northern Maine winter without even batting an eye it's ok in my book

Go for it! Since putting that badge on, I'm getting 5 MPG more, I'm losing weight, and my hair is growing back.... just imagine what it can do for winter driving!
