Steering wheel slightly to the left??

Has anyone with an 08 MK (specifically Compass) ever noticed that the steering wheel is slightly misaligned to the left? Just another one of those small things you notice in the Compass....dont suppose I can expect much perfection...

Centering the wheel is part of the alignment. Somebody done wrong!

apparently. It's not very noticeable, maybe only 1/4 inch but it still bothers me that I bought a brand new car and things like that were overlooked during production

I'd put that to Dealer Prep. It's up to them to find the little things that the factory missed. IMHO

And most techs hate doing new car prep.

Hmmm, my '07 Compass was perfectly centered until I had the mandated allignment after my lift kit installation. Ironically, my dealer was the least expensive shop to do the allignment but they left my steering wheel offset a little more than a quarter-inch to the left. The joke is they said that was as best they could get it centered, HAH!!! Oh, well, after nearly a year, Fortuneer still drives straight so I can't complain (too) much. You should definately get your dealer to fix this issue. Your warranty should cover it. Good luck!
