size of rear rotors

Any one know how to tell the difference in the size of the rear rotors? I went to buy some new ones and found out that they could be 11.89" or 10.313"?

All of my data for 2007 - 2010 calls for 11.5 vented on the front and 10.3 solid on the rear.

Thanks Gramps, I just did the front brakes and now want to do the rears, but the web site I'm ordering form has the two different sizes. I've checked several other web sites and everyone else lists just the 10.3" so I'll order those.
By the way great prices here. Discount Auto Parts Canada - Auto Parts Warehouse | Complete Struts | Hub Bearing Assembly | Brake Pads and Rotors | Starters and Alternators | Prime Choice Auto Parts . I wasn't sure of the quality of the parts but they seem pretty good. I used their parts for the front brakes. I got 67,000kms out of the original ones so I'll see how much I get out of theses ones.

I checked the Jeep International and the UK brochure and although they did not give a specification they didn't show a difference between petrol and Diesel. I'll tr and check with merlinTec and see if he can help.

Choice are
Referred to as "16-inch" because they are designed to fit inside 16-inch or larger wheels. Actual front rotor diameter is 294 mm (11.5 in.). Actual rear rotor diameter is 302 mm (11.8 in.).

Referred to as "14-inch" because they are designed to fit inside 14-inch or larger wheels. Actual rotor diameter is 262 mm (10.3 in.).

If you post the last 9 of your vin I will look up the jeep part number and you may be able to cross reference but I am sure all CRD's are the larger rear discs.

Note: there is a TSB 05-001-09 for European market for front brake pads
Part number
68020494AB Pad, Front Brake, and 5105514AA Rotor

thanks for the info!

Since here we only have the 17" wheels version, the rotor sizes are 294mm in front and 302mm in the rear

about the TSB, i didnt know but i've the 2008 model and made the 15k km and the 30k km service (a month ago) and they (jeep) didn't say anything about "brake" problems... the pads/rotors still the ones that came stock and now the warranty is over (only 2 years)

i asked about the size, because in big distance or hard braking, the jeep makes a "thunder" noise, and i thought it was due to pad/rotor getting hot...

since the warranty is over, what do you thing about changing the front rotors to perforated ones(same size), and new pads? only when they need to be replaced!

the last 9 of vin: 38D525393
