Service and parts replacement

Hey i have a 2.4 manual with 15345 miles on the clock

At how many miles do you change the oil, is it every 10k?

What about spark plugs, belt, ball joints? Mines already had the drivers side ball joint replaced.

You can download a free owners manual here and it has all of the recommended service intervals.

The factory manual calls for oil changes ever 8000 miles, or 13000 km, or 6 months. It also states the tires should be rotated at the same time.

I change my oil every 5000-6000 miles, just to be on the safe side, and I use synthetic. I am not saying you should use synthetic yourself, its just my personal choice. From everything I have read, I believe it works better and is worth the extra cost.

If you are at 10000 miles since your last oil change, I'd change it ASAP.

Spark plugs are every 32000 miles, 52000 km, or two years. As far as the ball joints and belts, replace them when they start to fail, not before, is my policy.

Cheers lads n ladetts.

From what i have found out, my patriot was owned by the jeep dealership until it reached 13400 miles then sold to me for £7500

It had only been serviced twice and had one ball joint replaced.

Full service when i got it so will get serviced at 19000 or 20000 do u recon thats about rite from 14000?

Only thing that needs fixing is the squeaking brakes but garage says there fine
