Replacing fog light bulbs...

Anyone know how easy or hard it is to do? The headlights are super easy - just wondering if the fogs are too - it's a bit frosty to spend a whole lot of time out under the Jeep looking so I want to be informed before I attempt to swap them out.

top fogs or bottom fogs?

also, its a canbus vehicle, so its probably going to require a dealer. (sarcasm)

I have heard of a few people that snaked their hand in there and changed the bulbs. If you take off the splash pan you can see what your doing very easily. A 10MM socket and a Torx bit is all it takes to pull the pan. I really thought that I took some pictures of up inside there but I can't find them now. Did you have a bulb go out or are you changing to yellow?

i think i told him to change his upper ones to the hella 85 watt all weather H3's.

Bottom ones, i duno.

If the canbus wouldnt throw a fit, i'd say get some LED's in there to match the CCL's halos he wants.

No function whatsoever, just appearances.

thanks Gramps - I'm due for an oil change - I'll see if I can get my Jeep in to my buddies dad's heated garage and up on ramps and see if I can figure out how to get to those bulbs in the warm dry comfort...

If you get it that far you'll see how easy they are once the splash pans off. No big deal, really.

I figured it can't be that hard - that damn splash guards just in the way and its too cold to sit outside for long tugging and pulling at random stuff - afraid I'll end up breaking something
