Remote distance

I've been having issues with my remote. I can't get it to work in any distance greater than 20 feet away. I feel like my last car 300M was able to get well over 50 feet probably further. Could my receiver possible have an issue or a faulty connection with the remote? I was thinking of taking this in, but I didn't want service to say "there nothing wrong with it"

kinda depends on where you are.

in Maine on a deserted shore the range was easily 500 feet (!), my remote beat another couples Maxima remote by about 100 feet (the things that amuse you on vacation).

in a parking lot surrounded by other cars, its more like 20-100 feet.

you could always throw a fresh battery in the remote to be sure.

I have the same problem with my 08 Patriot. Annoyingly short range. Like, less than half of any other car I've ever owned. I'm hoping it's a weak OEM battery or something.
