went to the dealer this morning, they had no clue about it (even though i told the sales guy about it in oct, when i was waiting for the compass)........i showed them the print out from jeep.com, the ran it through the system and low and behold it came up, ....they took it right in and reprogrammed the abs system, took about 40 mins or so

Well it's good to see you smiling! GOOD communication is the key to a lot of things getting done. It's probably no better at the dealership than it is where I work and I'd bet where a lot of others work, too! At least we have the Forum!
I had my Compass in for it's first oil change this weekend. I mentioned the abs recall to the service manager.... he looked it up and had it done for me while they changed the oil. He said they had just gotten their system set up for it since he had 17 on the lot he had to update. My card from DC was in the mailbox when I got home.
