Rear Stabilizer Bar

I posted this thread on "the other Jeep Patriot/Compass forum". Unfortunately, I haven't found the answers I'm looking for. Maybe I'll have better luck here.

Does anybody know what the part number is for the rear stabilizar bar included with the Compass Rallye package? Is it the same as the anti sway bar kit for the Caliber (check leeparts.com)? Will it fit a 2WD Patriot? I'm looking to install it in conjunction with the strut tower brace to stiffen my ride a little bit.

Thanks in advance.

The only difference is the 4WD sway bar has to go over the rear axel. All other MK rear stabilizer parts are the same.

1 - 05105887AA STABILIZER BAR, 2WD Rear Suspension
2 - 05105886AA STABILIZER BAR, 4WD, Rear Suspension
3 - 06104388AA SCREW, Hex Head, M8x1.25x30 Sway Bar to Subframe (4x)
4 - 06101758 2 SCREW, Hex Head, M8x1.25x20, Sway Bar to Subframe, Lower (2x)
5 - 06508961AA NUT & WASHER, Hex, M10 X 1.25, Link to Front Suspension, Mounting (2x)
6 - 05105566AA RETAINER, Stabilizer Bar Grommet (2x)
7 - 05105878AA CUSHION, Sway Eliminator (2x)
8 - 05174245AD LINK PACKAGE, Stabilizer Bar (2x)

What about P5153749? It's listed on the Mopar Performance Catalog as an adjustable anti sway bar for the FWD Caliber. Do y'all think it would work, since it's the same platform?

Mopar Performance Parts - Four Cylinder

It looks like the ends bolt on at a different angle. You might need to make a trip to the dealers to see if you can talk to a tech or a parts guy and check out the mounting on these. Sorry, I don't have a parts book for the Caliber to compare for you.

No problem. I figured I'd frist try to find the answer without having to get up from my comfy chair. I think I need to try the phone next.

What I'm really curious about is that Compass rear stabilizer bar that's part of the Rallye package.

The rear anti-sway bar listings only distinguished between 2WD and 4WD. No special listing for Rallye or FD II's.

Gotcha. I wonder why Jeep even bothers mentioning it, then.

Maybe some base models don't have one at all, so it's a plus?
