Radio Aux volume

Hi, this is my first post in this forum!!!!
I ordered my Compass back in November 06 and finally got it 2 weeks ago.
I love everything about my new car, except maybe for the aux volume on the radio. It always starts on 19.
Allow me to explain. If I'm listening to the radio, turn off the car and come back later, the radio will start at the same volume I was listening to the last time I use it, but if I'm listening to my mp3 player connected to the aux jack the volume will start always at 19 regardless of the volume I was using before I turned the car off.
Of course by now I know that if I want to listen from my mp3 player the first step is to turn the aux volume down, but I was wondering if somebody knows how to program the aux volume to stay at a different level.

Thank you in advance for your answers!!
This forum is really helpful.

Not sure, might be something the dealer can program. Would need the scantool to go into the radios software.

I got tired of scarring the hell out of myself... I just got used to hitting the aux button and turning the volume knob down

on the commander that my company had rented for me last year, i noticed the same thing, i had the ipod plugged into the aux jack and it was always consistantly louder then the radio stations whenever i went to aux mode.
i just turned down the ipod's volume to compensate
Installing HID's in stock housings is bad. Here is why.
