question about patriot wheels...

could 20 inch wheels go on the patriot? or would some adjustments have to be made so it doesn't screw anything up with the tranny?.....

It's not the wheels themselves, it's the tire height and width that can screw things up. A 28" tall tire +/- a little is not a problem.

I don't see 20" rims out that that are as narrow as the Patriot rims. Both the 16" and 17" stock rims are only 6.5" wide. If you go more than an inch or two wider, you're going to have clearance problems - unless you move outboard, which can create problems of its own.

The Compass Limited and Rallye uses an 18X7 rim, others offer a 20" that say they fit the MKs. There are several, including the Tire Rack, that off 19 and 20 inc packages. Just do a Google and you can find a bunch of listing by application. These guys will stand behind their recommendations.

Pillzny had some pics of his Compass with 20' but they're gone now. He had 245/35/20 and said they worked just fine.

Some info over here for the stock wheels Optional Tires/Wheels for MK's.
I do believe for the different aftermarket sizes that most are using the recommendations of the manufacturers
