Problems with 2010 Patriot

I have been having problems with my Jeep since I bought it last year. It only happens when I drive long distances. After driving for a while (state to state) its fine but as soon as I slow down or stop and try to accelerate it doesn't accel until I press on the gas for about 5 - 10 seconds and I feel it jerk. I have taken it in twice but they keep telling me nothing wrong. I need my truck. My husband is military so we drive long distances evry 2-3 years, Im scared its just going to die on me and my money will be gone down the drain.

Does nyone have any suggestions or know what this may be? Thank you in advance.

Also when I slow down I can hear a slight knocking, this has been happening for about a month.

Take it to a different dealership. That long of a delay is definitely not normal. Is it under any sort of warranty still? Where in the vehicle is the knocking noise coming from?
