Anyone installed one of these yet? seems like they can be had fairly cheap ($200 or less) if so do you have any before/after pics?

Go to the last 2 posts, pg 3 by patrick3319 and see if they're the same http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f98/hid-kit-problem-mks-483383/. Do you have a link to the ones you're looking at?

I found these online while looking for other things (LED bulbs for interior/exterior)

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481

They look like they'll just plug in to the existing bulb sockets.....seems pretty easy - not sure how different this package is from the one patrick picked up

I also don't have DRL's either so maybe they'll work - not sure I'm ready to spend $200 to test them yet - when I can get the K&N CAI for that price...

ya as well with me. you loose your DRLs...which I was fine with. I made my fogs HIDs as well, and I just turn them on whenever i'm driving so I at least have some lights on!

reading that post that Gramps linked to - it looks like you had to wire a bunch of different stuff together to make it work - not just plug the ballasts in to the OEM wire harness...or am I missing something?

no what I had to do...was put in the relay and fuses that came with the kit I bought...

so what it is...is a power and ground wire come from the battery to a fuse...which then run to a relay...which run to the light...the only thing is it doesn't come with an adapter to plug into the stock wire harness...I had to file down the end to stick them in...and put plastic around them (for now)..it was still plug and play..didn't have to hard wire into anything, nor splice into anything. Whenever it warms up and isn't snowing...i'll try and get some pics so people can see for sure what I did...

as for my fogs...it was straight plug and play...didn't need the relay and fuse...

Some guy on one of the Caliber forums I visit is doing a group buy on some HIDs that is supposed to be plug and play. I'm skipping out on it to find out how it goes as I have followed one guy's problems on here way too long to go out and buy me a set yet. I am NOT splicing into the wiring on a new car. (I also haven't ever spliced into the wiring in my 10 year old Jeep yet either!)

Well like I had stated, with the set I bought...I did NOT have to splice...so there are ones out there that are pretty close to plug and play. like I said I just had to file down some connectors or w/e the heck you call them...put them in, wrap it up and it was good!
