I am doing some research on the 07 Patriot and I am seeing claims all over the board everything from 22-27 to 30+ MPG can someone with a Patriot tell me what you are really getting.

My average is hovering right about 23, with a high of 27 and a low of 20 (right after I got it and it was still snowing)

I was hoping it would be more like my compass which I still think is rev'ing way to high at 70MPH I just did a trip to tahoe and got 32.7 avg across the whole trip.
My liberty is nearly 900rpm slower at 70 then my compass well my wife's compass.

Wouldn't this be due to the fact that the engine is bigger in the KJ and requires less RPM's to maintain the same speed?

Correct me if I'm wrong, somebody.

The wife's Compass gets about 26-28 mpg avg. This is with the CVT AutoStick. I'm the only one that uses the AutoStick....I LIKE it.

Are we talking all CVT's here? The FD I CVT has a final drive of 2.41:1 and the FD I 5spd's is 3.33:1.

Then the RPM's makes since. What I can't figure is why with higher gears the 5spd gets better mileage???
