Patriot tie-down points?

I'm trying to find a place to tie down a kayak, and there doesn't seem to be anyplace under the front... I don't have the tow hooks.
Does anyone have ideas on how to do this? I am thinking of drilling a hole in the bumper to attach the hook to, and am wondering if there is any problem with that?
Or, am I going to have to get the tow hooks installed?

thanks,
Mark

Mark,

Post 4 over here shows a pic of the Compass bumper set up and I believe that the Patriot without the tow hooks should be the same. Maybe that hole (on the red one) could be adequate?
