Patriot Owners Pictures.

This tread is being started so that Patriot owners can post some pictures and list their models, colors, options and accessories. Please, it is not for posting comments or asking about something that is listed, that should be done in a thread of the correct topic, a new thread or a pm. These postings are so that we can have a quick viewing of what the members have. If you have started a thread on your Patriot please post a link to it for those who want to ask questions.

Any "glamour" or actions photos are fine.

Thanks for your help!

Can't post pictures yet? Send me a pm and I'll send you my email and post for you.

I suppose I should start off introducing myself, since I am a "newbie" to the JeepForum :) My name is Amy, and I live in Minnesota. I hate cold weather (I still wonder why I live here, and HAVE my whole life thusfar!) and love shopping.

I woke up last Wednesday morning, to my husband hot on the phone with Jeep dealerships. He was trying to track down a Patriot for me! :2thumbsup:
I had been waiting since last September for the Patriot to come out, and was pretty much heartbroken when I heard production would be pushed back until the "first quarter of 2007". I test drove a Compass last fall, and wasn't disappointed but wasn't overly impressed either. We decided to wait for the Patriot to come out.

So, after driving 2.5 hours (our next option was a dealership 4+ hours away!) and not even TEST DRIVING the thing, we bought it on the spot. It's a white Patriot Limited, with the CVTII. It has everything but a sunroof, power seats, hands free communication equipment, 6-CD changer, navigation, and the driver convneience group thing (where it shows the tire pressure, compass, etc.) It has heated seats, bigger tires, leather, outside thermometer, full sized spare, and the awesome Boston Acoustic 9-speaker sound system.

We got quite a few (probably 7 or 8) inches of snow this past weekend, and I got to try out the Patriot in it. It worked just fine! I didn't have any trouble getting through the snow....not even the unplowed roads that were really rutty and dug up/deep from other trucks driving around on them....not to mention all of the huge piles of snow along sidestreets, from the snow plows.

You have to remember these Patriots only have a 4-cylinder. It's not a big truck with tons of power. If you're looking for something to power you through two feet of hard packed snow, this isn't the vehicle for you. But if you're looking for something to get you over moderately crappy roads, and that also gets you good gas mileage and looks "Jeepy", this is for you. It rides really nice, feels very stable, and really, I am suprised at how much/all of the options we got for the relatively low price tag of $23,600!

I am so glad we didn't go with a Compass....
There was a Compass in the showroom next to our Patriot, and it looked like a fricken' PT Cruiser....

Hi Everyone! I just got my new Patriot Limited 4x4 with NAV (and a few other upgrades) last week. This is my first time owning a Jeep... traded in an '01 Ford Escape for this, and so far I am loving it! I am posting a few pics of the NAV along with the others because I had a lot of trouble finding any pictures of it when I was looking.

Hi everyone,
My name is Jeff. My girlfriend and I just purchased a light khaki FDII Sport on August 1. I was fortunate enough to go on a trip the next weekend to Lake Sam Rayburn in the Piney Woods of East Texas. My buddy has a couple of cabins there, and just to get there is a 8 mile dirt road trip. I was very pleased with the patriot's performance. I left it in 4 wheel drive for ~70 miles and it drove beautifully. The off-road suspension handled the ruts and holes pretty smoothly, it didn't beat the crap out of me like some vehicles on the dirt road. After I dropped Bridget(the girlfriend) off at the cabin, I headed out to find a place to test 4low:2thumbsup: . The pictures were taken driving up a mostly sandy wash. It had not rained recently, so it wasn't a mud pit like normal. Unfortunately I didn't have a digital camera, and the pictures from my 35mm didn't scan as well as I hoped. If anyone has specific questions about the FDII and its performance, I will be checking back here. Gramps is going to post the photos for me, so please be patient.
Jeff

The new 2008 Patriot

I am new to the forums here but already impressed with the amount if info that is floating around. I saw this thread and was happy to find that i can be the first to make this claim,

I have an 08 Jeep patriot, I picked it up a week ago. Its been a great week and have found a whole new passion for driving. This is my first jeep but I have been in love with them for a while. I payed around 22k for mine and the rough specs are as follows.
08 patriot sport 4x4
preferred 26E package-which has most of the standard essentials-power locks floor mats etc.
I have the automatic transmission sadly not with the crawl ratio.
It has the serius radio and i share everyones frustration with not having the ability to see the song names etc
And the last real upgrade that is in it is the Boston acoustics speaker package. I think this is definitely the best upgrade available. The difference in the sound is remarkable and the flip down lift gate speakers are more than great for tailgating etc. and it automatically adds the premium steering wheel to your vehicle.
I wanted the 17in wheels but it wasn't my top priority so I settled for free upgraded rims.

Even without the crawl ratio its a great jeep for off roding and general playing in the mud. I would post some pics but as I just signed up I am not allowed to. in reference to the sport shifting killing your gas mileage is that true? I would think it would almost be better since your keeping the engine from revving to nearly 6000 rpms before shifting during quick acceleration.

In terms of the engine does anyone know any particular mod chips that increase the performance and shifting?

Also anyone have ideas for sweet after market upgrades?

cheers! :cheers2:

Eric

oh...and mine is black

Here are some pictures of my 2008 patriot sport 4x4 from the second day I had the car. I had to drive it up from Philly to Boston but hit the trails as soon as I was home. It didnt hesitate and I am looking forward to doing a lot more.

Hope you like the shots as much as I do. Check the rims, they were a free upgrade as part of the price negotiations. They arnt 17in but I think they look great.

Cheers,

:cheers2:

to all those complaining that a compass and patriot ain't a jeep..... what does it say on the back??? sure ain't a ford. different people want different things. maybe someone doesn't want a huge xj or wrangler.....
this is my YJ next to the wifes patriot.....

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g6...g/100_1174.jpg
so yes i have the best of both, a heavily modified trail rig and a good gas mileage grocery getter/weekend wheeler..... and guess what..... THEIR BOTH JEEPS. and equally fun to drive. a vehicle doesn't have to be beat on the rocks or thrashed in the mud to be a jeep. if somebody chooses to keep their's on the pavement, it's their perogative. it could be worse..... the could be driving a hummer.....

Been looking around for months now, trying to find a used patriot. I hate buying new vehicles, so I have been patiently waiting for the used market to catch up. Well I went to the dealer on Sunday to look at one on the lot, and to my surprise it was perfect.

2007 Patriot Limited , auto CVT
loaded with Nav, heated seats, leather, sirius radio for a year, moon roof and 17" premium wheels.
best part is the mileage: 6400:D

Book value on the Jeep was 22,500, they had it advirstised for 18,900, i was able to get it for 18,800 with 4500 for my trade ( 99 subaru Legacy GT with 93K). They still had the sticker in the truck, 25,800:eek:

So I bit as I wasn't going to find a better deal and couldn't be happier!! Once I get used to the CVT the gas mileage will be just about the same as my old subaru.
