Parking brake light, does yours flash when it is engaged?

On most vehicles we've owned the parking/ handbrake light stays constantly lit when the handbrake is activated. On our Patriot it flashes, however I cannot remember if it flashed before I fiddled with the brakes a few weeks ago!

So just hoping for confirmation on whether it should flash or not!

Cheers

Just checked the Cherokee (Liberty) and that flashes too when you go from park to drive, must be to warn you if you are in gear. Guess the Patriot is a similar design.

Thanks to you both for checking as well

It sounds like you meant a single flash and not multiple. Sorry, I misunderstood the question.
