Oil change indicator

Hey everyone.,

My wife has a 09" patriot. How do i reset the oil change light?

I think you turn the key to the on position, press the accelerator 3 times, then key off, step outside, look at the car and say to the car "you see car? There is nothing you can possess which I can not take away!"

Light shouldn't come back on for 4,000 miles or so.

Yes:

Light comes back on based on use not preset # of miles.

From what i understand it can be use or miles. Not sure what the interval is, but somebody's on here went off like 1,000 miles after an oul change, as has mine, so 4,000 is probably a good guess.

It is use based not miles.
